How to Train Your Dragon...

.. was an adorable movie. I ended up doodling last night after midnight due to sudden inspiration to draw Zhong, my eastern dragon character thing.

However, since I watched that movie, I wanted to draw a western dragon.. So I made a western version of Zhong, and named him Oroloxis.



I used to draw dragons and dinosaurs so much as a kid. It's really been a while since I've really drawn any seriously. Not to say that I don't, and that I haven't, but I haven't really drawn them for myself for a while. It felt good.

Augghh sorry it's all so rough, don't have the time nor patience to make these smooth and inked and man, I wish I worked better traditionally cos these backgrounds would be so much easier if I had a physical ruler to use. :(

I did quick thumbs of pg 5 and 6 last night too, and the rest of the script has been more-or-less finalized. I have a lot of splash pages and a two-page spread in this one though, and I already feel like the battle is really rushed.

Sigh I wish I was better at drawing comics LOL.
I usually do things with more storyline so it's nice to do a comic purely for lols.

Bonus:

Bastardizing yourself as a character is pretty awkward. Zim demands this to be a Halloween costume now. LOL

Pokemon Trainers!

Just a bunch of quick drawings I did of other people's Pokemon trainers for the PCBC tournament. Roughly 1-2 hours each.

From left to right; Electra, Destinie (WIP painting), and Melissa © their respective owners.
Pokemon © Nintendo, CREATURES, Game Freak.


My favorite is Electra and her Minun and Plusle. I am irresistibly attached to fat, cute animals.
